GHR KITS

Central Florida's Own Ed Hamlin, owner/president of Tune Up Specialties & Marine in Longwood, is offering the First MerCruiser gimbal housing repair kit (GHR KITS).

Until now, the only way to fix the actual housing was to replace everything, which could cost about $4,000. The GHR Kit allows you to repair the existing housing without removing the engine .

It's simple: A special ring is adhered with a space-age epoxy that cures in 24 hours, saving money and time. You could be back on the water the next day.

Each kit comes with detailed instructions. The only thing missing is a special $11 tool needed to install the kit. That tool can be purchased at the Longwood store; everything else can be done with typical tools.

If you don't want to do it yourself, the guys at the shop will install the kit in your driveway. In fact the only negative is that MerCruiser won't be able to sell as many housing units.

Kits are compatible with MerCruiser Alpha, Alpha Gen II and Bravo. [Historical pricing and contact information omitted.]
